Kyboa offers prepaid credits as an alternative to a recurring subscription, giving businesses with occasional or transaction-based screening needs a more flexible way to use the platform.

Instead of purchasing a recurring monthly, quarterly or annual subscription, prepaid customers purchase credit packages as needed. Unused credits carry forward and do not expire while the account remains active and in good standing.

Designed for irregular screening requirements

Prepaid credits are intended for businesses that need proper screening capability but do not necessarily have a predictable monthly workflow.

Typical use cases include:

  • real estate and property businesses screening parties when a transaction takes place;
  • legal and professional firms carrying out checks for particular clients, contracts or engagements;
  • businesses performing occasional customer, supplier or counterparty due diligence; and
  • teams that need periodic batches of screening without an ongoing monthly commitment.

Customers retain access to Kyboa’s core screening workflow, including sanctions, PEP, watchlist, adverse media and web checks, reports, maintained Entities and supported company information.

Choose a pack and use it when needed

Current prepaid credit packages are:

  • 150 credits – US$150
  • 400 credits – US$250
  • 1,000 credits – US$500

Fixed regional pricing is also available in SGD, MYR and THB.

There is no monthly allowance reset. Your remaining balance carries forward, and additional packs can be purchased whenever more credits are required.

As with subscription accounts, screening uses one credit per distinct person or organisation included. Alternate names, translated or local-language names, aliases and previous names for the same party are included without additional credits.

Prepaid or subscription?

Prepaid credits are primarily designed for irregular use. For businesses with recurring customer due diligence requirements, regular onboarding volumes or ongoing monitoring obligations, a subscription will generally provide better value.

Insurance brokers and other regulated businesses maintaining a continuing portfolio of customers will often benefit from a recurring subscription allowance, with the full credit allowance provided upfront for each monthly, quarterly or annual paid subscription period.

Prepaid credits can still be used with maintained Entities and scheduled monitoring, but each screening run consumes credits from the available balance. For genuinely occasional workflows, the absence of a recurring subscription can make prepaid credits a simpler fit.

Top up directly from your Kyboa account

Once a prepaid account has been established, account administrators can purchase additional credit packs directly from the Billing area in Kyboa.

Select the required pack, create the purchase invoice and complete payment by card through Stripe Checkout. Credits are automatically added to the account after payment is confirmed.

Prepaid credits can also be used to retrieve official Malaysia and Singapore company profiles. Each premium registry lookup uses the applicable credit amount from the same balance, with screening charged separately for each included person or organisation. See How Credits Work for current tariffs.

Getting started

New prepaid accounts and conversions from an existing subscription are currently set up by the Kyboa team rather than through public self-service signup.

If prepaid credits better match your requirements, contact us and we can set up a prepaid account or discuss switching an existing account.

After setup, future credit top-ups can be managed directly from your account whenever they are needed.
