Kyboa now supports official Singapore company registry data, bringing Singapore into our full registry-enhanced KYB workflow alongside Malaysia.
Users can search for a Singapore company and retrieve company information from its ACRA Bizfile profile directly within Kyboa, then use that information as part of a company screening or to create and maintain an Entity.
This is a significant expansion for Singapore-based users and for businesses elsewhere in the region that regularly deal with Singapore companies.
Full registry-enhanced KYB for Singapore
Singapore is now treated as a full official registry jurisdiction in Kyboa, alongside Malaysia.
Available company information can include:
- official registered company name and UEN;
- company status and registered address;
- business activities;
- directors, secretaries and other officers;
- registered shareholders and shareholdings;
- issued and paid-up capital; and
- registered ownership percentages where available.
Kyboa uses this information as part of the KYB workflow rather than simply returning a standalone registry document. Relevant directors, shareholders and other parties can be included directly in the screening, while the company information is retained alongside the resulting compliance record.
Ownership and UBO identification
One of the main benefits of official registry data is the ability to build the ownership picture without first asking the customer to manually provide information that is already available from the registry.
Where sufficient registered ownership data is available, Kyboa identifies natural-person shareholders with more than 25% direct registered ownership as meeting the direct ownership threshold used for UBO assessment.
For straightforward company structures, this can provide much of the company, shareholder and direct-UBO information needed for KYB from the registry itself, reducing manual information gathering and data entry.
More complex structures can still require additional due diligence. For example, a corporate shareholder may need further look-through to identify the natural people behind it, and registered ownership alone does not identify every possible form of indirect ownership, nominee arrangement or control.
Use Singapore like any other supported registry
There is no separate Singapore workflow to learn.
When creating a New Company Screening, select Singapore as the jurisdiction, search by company name or UEN, select the matching company and continue with the registry-enhanced screening.
You can also create a maintained Entity from the Singapore registry. Kyboa can populate the Entity with available company, officer and shareholder information so that it can be reviewed, maintained, re-screened and monitored over time.
Existing Singapore Entities can also make use of the registry workflow when company information needs to be refreshed or enriched.

Premium registry lookup costs
Searching the Singapore and Malaysia company registries is free within the Kyboa app. Retrieving an official Singapore company profile uses 25 Kyboa credits; an official Malaysia company profile uses 15 Kyboa credits.
These paid profiles are available to eligible Subscription and Prepaid accounts with sufficient credits. The lookup cost is deducted from the same account credit balance used for screening.
If the retrieved company, directors or shareholders are then included in a screening, each distinct person or organisation screened uses an additional credit. Alternate, translated and previous names of the same party do not consume extra credits. See How Credits Work for current costs and examples.
Reducing the manual work behind KYB
The value of registry integration is not simply access to another company report.
Without an integrated registry workflow, a compliance team may need to obtain a company profile separately, review it, identify the relevant directors and shareholders, enter those names into another screening system, record the ownership information and then retain evidence of the checks performed.
Kyboa brings those steps together. Official company profile lookups use credits to cover access to paid data providers, while the resulting data becomes part of the screening and ongoing CDD workflow rather than remaining a standalone document.
With official registry-enhanced support now available for both Singapore and Malaysia, Kyboa can provide a substantially deeper KYB process for businesses operating across two of Southeast Asia’s major corporate and financial centres.
