What is Kyboa?

Kyboa is a practical KYB, KYC and AML screening platform for teams that need to move from ad-hoc checks to a structured screening process.

It helps teams screen companies and individuals, keep evidence of what was checked, generate audit-ready reports, and continue monitoring customers after onboarding.

Built from real screening needs in Southeast Asia

Kyboa was developed from practical work with insurance and reinsurance businesses in Southeast Asia that needed a clearer way to implement screening, customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring.

Many regional teams know screening needs to be done, but the process is often handled through manual searches, spreadsheets, screenshots and scattered files. Kyboa gives those teams a more structured way to screen customers and counterparties, keep evidence of the checks performed, and continue monitoring after onboarding.

The platform is currently used or trialled by insurance, reinsurance, real estate and professional services teams operating across Malaysia/Labuan, Thailand and Cambodia, including regional offices connected to global organisations.

Reviewed against real compliance expectations

Kyboa’s screening and report outputs have been reviewed in the context of Labuan and broader AML/CFT compliance expectations.

External compliance feedback confirmed that the screening outputs support sanctions screening requirements. The review also highlighted the importance of maintaining comprehensive entity information, including business details, location, key management personnel and related connections, to support risk profiling and ongoing CDD.

This feedback helped shape Kyboa’s continued development from point-in-time screening reports into maintained entity records, related-person screening, monitoring, screening history and audit-ready CDD evidence.

Kyboa provides tools to help teams implement, evidence and maintain a structured screening process that supports their own compliance obligations.

Roadmap and direction

Kyboa will continue to expand around the same core principle: practical screening, maintained CDD records and audit-ready evidence for regional teams.

Planned areas of development include expanded company information support for additional jurisdictions, Singapore premium registry activation, client API access for selected workflows, improved onboarding tools, and continued refinements to entity monitoring, reports and review workflows.

The goal is not to become a raw data lookup service. The goal is to help teams use available data inside a structured KYB, KYC, AML, screening and ongoing CDD process.
